In the dark

So, I'm sitting here typing offline because about half of the campus went dark over the lunch hour. Luckily, parts of the building I work in are on a backup generator because of the mainframe equipment in the basement. Certain rooms are also tied to the generator so I'm sitting here in Ron's office typing away.

Want to hear a funny? I was in the process of plugging in my laptop and a lady stopped by Ron's office and what do you think she asked? "Are your lights on in here?"

Ron didn't miss a beat. He said, "No, ma'am, it's just the glow from my face." All I could think was, "Heeere's your sign."

Lights just came on... darn! I was hoping I could go home early.
