Category Stupid

I refuse to defend my television viewing choices. Too many times I have stayed up and watched the late, late, late, much too late, oh-my-God-why-did-I-stay-up-for-that late show and have enjoyed it (Hello, Day of the Triffids).  Therefore, the why of my television viewing is none of your business.

With the preamble out of the way… The wife and I watched the first part of Category 7: The End of the World last night.  Being from Oklahoma where the average citizen can interpret a NexRad screen(weather radar for you uninitiated) before they can read, I know about severe weather.  Between the major characters being windblown with 20–30 MPH winds while mobile homes and incidental characters are being sucked up into the storm and the destruction of every major international landmark (Eiffel Tower, Mt. Rushmore, The Sphynx & The Pyramids, etc.) I kept laughing, then looking at my wife and saying, “Oh, right, it’s not supposed to be a comedy.”
