Weekend Update

Went to KC to see the folks for the weekend. I had gotten wrangled into helping my sister move on Sunday but it wasn't as bad as I expected. She was only moving a block or so away so she had already taken several loads of boxes and clothes over by herself. We were there mostly to move furniture. We did it all in 1.5 truckloads (14' U-Haul) and less than 4 hours. I even let "the boys" (my nephews) do most of the heavy lifting. Luckily it wasn't too terribly hot.

Once the move was done, several of us went to the Casino. I spent about 4 hours straight playing $3 blackjack. At one point, I was up ~$30 but ended up down $40 overall. I look at it this way... I spent $10/hour to play cards. The coolest part was that my wife was sitting to my immediate right and my dad was sitting two seats down to my left. It was a blast!! No big plays, no risky moves gone awry, just a lot of give and take (and give some more) and a lot of fun.

I gotta go. I have a meeting with my boss in about 20 minutes then I have to start relocating my office (I'll save that for a future blog).
