How Do You Win This Contest Again?

As you know, I've been posting several entries for the HP Magic giveaway. The rules vary by site as do the method of choosing a winner. Imagine that one of the entry methods is to create a how-to or What Is article about ANY subject. The winner is the one who gets the most comments. Sounds easy, right?

Those are the conditions placed on the contest by Chris Pirillo. The method of entry is to send him the article, he posts it, then you notify all your friends and have them notify their friends, etc. and get all that comment love going. But that's really difficult to do when the contest official won't post your article.

I submitted an entry for this contest the day it opened on his site, December 4th. As of this writing, more than 72 hours after submission, my article still has not been posted. Yo, Chris, what's up with that?

I sent him an email and all I got back was "I believe it's in the queue." I don't want to sound like a greedy bastard but I would like to know more about his process so that I have an idea when my article will get posted. I'm getting a little miffed. My chances of actually winning on any site to which I submit an entry are pretty slim but I would at least like to have a shot at it.

His contest closes on the 10th. I submitted early with the hope of maximizing my exposure. Looks like it's not going to happen.

I thought about complaining to HP but the fine print says they're not responsible for how any of the sites run their contests. About the only good it would do is that they might not include him in their next contest. I doubt that since he has such wide exposure. [/rant]
