The SciFi Channel is changing its name. Starting in July, apparently, they will be known as SyFy.
The move is designed to "open up to a broader range of content." That's just dumb. The name change is cutesy and silly and we MUST put a stop to it. It's the "Web 2.0" invation is what it is. NBC just wants to be able to trademark the name instead of using a widely-accepted general term.
I encourage... no, I IMPLORE you to send an email to feedback@scifi.com and lodge your protest. I've sent mine. Let's crash their mail server with all the protests.
