I managed to cajole Vista into starting completely. It only took about 3 hours but it's up and running at the moment. I'm still going to reinstall and I think I'm going to stick with Vista. I want to see if a reload corrects some of the performance issues I've been having. If so, I can keep track of when and how much the performance starts to degrade.
But not today. Today we are going to see my mother in law. We're going to visit the cemetery where the wife's father is buried and wish him a happy birthday (he was born Dec. 24) then meet for our third annual Christmas Eve dinner at The Olive Garden. Maybe I'll fiddle with the computer tomorrow... maybe I'll just leave it be for now.
